Crow's Nest: flowers & kids
While walking with the WebWalkers and Spiderlings kids last week I snapped a couple of photos of recent blooms. This is springcress (Cardamine bulbosa) growing along French Creek. The genus Cardamine is confusing to identify into its various species (and this hurried photo doesn't show all the details).

We also passed dwarf ginseng in flower (Panax trifolius)
The spring WebWalkers and Spiderlings sessions have ended; we're looking forward now to summer camp and will begin planning the fall programs.
The caption for this photo: "Let's see if this dead tree will hold me while I reach for a stick (it did)."
This week the hickory leaves are expanding as well, looking here like hands clasped in prayer.
